Central Europe Review: politics, society and culture in Central and Eastern Europe Contributing to CER

Central Europe Review (CER) aims to bridge the gaps that exist between journalistic reporting and academic research, between disciplines, and between studies of individual countries in the region. With this is mind, we endeavour to create a forum for ideas that remain largely undiscussed in Central European affairs and present them in a way that is both accessible to the general reader and informative for experts in the field.

We are always interested in broadening the range and scope of opinions we carry on our pages, and if you feel you have a perspective on Central and Eastern Europe which would be of interest to our readers, we would be delighted to hear from you. CER welcomes contributions of investigative journalism, commentary, analysis, reviews, interviews and discussion papers.

There is no strict limit on the length of submissions, but 1500 to 2000 words is a good target to shoot for in most cases. Though we prefer a light editorial hand to allow our authors maximum freedom, CER reserves the right to make editorial changes.

Please keep all diacritics in your texts.

Contributions may be sent to CER via e-mail to submissions@ce-review.org, or click "SUBMIT ARTICLE" to set up the e-mail message automatically. We prefer documents sent as attachments in the following formats:

  • HTML
  • Rich Text Format (rtf)
  • Microsoft Word
If none of these are possible, simply include your submission in the body of the e-mail itself.

If we decide to publish your article in CER, we will want to get in touch with you, so please clearly print your most reliable e-mail address in the body of text.

We look forward to reading your submissions.
